Some historical and important buildings with the unique architecture in Izmir have been transformed into museums. With modern buildings, these museums always draw visitor’s attention.

İzmir Railway Museum and Art Gallery

Weekdays between 8.30 - 17:30

İzmir Railway Museum and Art Gallery is comprised of 9 rooms and 2 halls. In the museum, you can see historical pieces belonging to locomotive and wagons.

Zübeyde Hanım Museum of the Sea

Zübeyde Hanım Museum of the Sea, has been opened to visit since 2014, which includes also an education center about seamanship.

Tire Museum

Pazartesi dışında her gün 08.30-12.30/13.30-17.30 saatlerinde ziyarete açıktır.

Tire Museum, which is an archeological and ethnography museum, includes silver coin collection from Ottoman Empire.

TCDD Selçuk Çamlık Open-Air Steam Locomotive Museum

In TCDD Selçuk Çamlık Open-Air Steam Locomotive Museum, 36 steam locomotives, made in Germany, England, France and America in 1887-1952, are exhibited.

Joy and Cartoon Museum

Joy and Cartoon Museum is opened in 2010 to save and evaluate humorous accumulation of Turkey.

Bostanlı Open Air Archaeological Museum

Bostanlı Open Air Archaeological Museum has 90 masterpieces exhibited since 1987. Furthermore, there are painting studios available.It is renewed in 2011.
